TYPICAL EXPLANATION AND CALCULATION
D21- MATERIALS STORAGE
The explanation and calculation of technical design are as follow.
1. Materials storage is used for storage standard parts, metal pieces and sundry goods, sealing materials and rubbers, steel tubes and formed steel, tools and filter bags.
2. According to the Owner’ bidding documents and the attached drawings of EPC contract, materials storage area is 15 m x 60 m. We suggested that to divide this storage into 6 small areas in practice operation.
For standard parts, metal pieces and sundry goods, as well as tools, shelves with dimension of 1800 mm (L) x 500 mm (W) x 1700 mm (H) are placed in storage house.
For sealing materials and rubbers, steel tubes and formed steel, as well as filter bags,
Pilling directly in the house.
A. Standard parts zone (shelves storage)
1) 8 shelves for bolts (including common bolts and special bolts), nuts and spacer.
2) 12 shelves for bearings and bushes.
3) 4 shelves for chains.
B. Metals and sundry goods zone (shelves storage)
4) 6 shelves for couplings and fluid couplings.
5) 6 shelves for hydraulic elements and pneumatic elements.
6) 6 shelves for cooling water elements and valves.
7). 6 shelves for rollers of belt conveyer.
8). 12 shelves for sundry goods.
C. Sealing and rubber materials zone (pilling storage, area 80 m2)
9) Sealing materials and rubber materials.
10) Belts for belt conveyer.
D. Small piece steel tubes and formed steel (pilling storage, area 110 m2)
11) Small piece steel tubes and formed steel.
E. Tools zone (shelves storage)
12) 18 shelves for tools.
F. Filter bags zone (pilling storage, area 88 m2)

3. Small goods are stored in the storage house, these goods will be transported into plant by trucks and loaded by manpower, then sent to the storage house by pusher gear. Pusher gear i.e. pushcart, they are used for carrying small goods. Pushcart will be used when use these materials. Pushcart necessary amount, we suggest two sets. They aren,t in the supply scope of TCDRI.
4. We suggested that to divide the materials storage into small zones and make necessary adjustment in practice operation.
